IPG LightWELD & Laser Welding Safety Products
The IPG LightWELD is a 1070nm 1500-2000 watt laser that needs to have an OD of 7+. This laser is a Class 4 and very dangerous. The NHZ (nominal hazard zone) is 200 meters (657 feet). You need to have an LSO, Barriers, Certified Laser Eye Protection, and more. We can help with any laser safety concerns, trainings, or protection products.
Toll Gas Co. was approached about moving into handheld fiber fusion laser welding; specifically the IPG Lightweld 1500XR. Knowing there has to be some safety equipment for this technology; we started investigating this equipment. Innovative Laser Safety and Jeremy Erickson were informative and willing to work through the process with our end user to qualify their Level Four laser safety needs; saving time and money for our customers.
